Computer Based Training: This course provides an exploration of authoring for interactive training and education. Students gain experience in the process of design, development, and evaluation of effective computer-based training systems.
At the end of this course you will be able to design and host a Computer Based Training (CBT) course using proven Instructional Design Techniques and Adobe Captivate 5.5. You will host your course in an Open Source Learning Management System called Moodle.
Dreamweaver: This course uses hands-on-training approach to learn the basics of building a web-site by using Dreamweaver, a WYSIWYG editor, which helps building and publishing web pages quickly and easily. In addition, this course also teaches how to host a basic site online. XHTML and CSS will be introduced. Review the Syllabus and Week 1 for more details.
Introduction to Web Design: This course is an exploration of the process of web design from proposal to production. Students will learn to design and produce web sites with web editing software using XHTML and CSS Web standards. Our inspiration will be taken from the Zen of CSS Design: Visual Enlightenment for the Web and the CSS Zen Garden Website. The required book is Head First Web Design - A Brain Friendly Design by Ethan Watrall & Jeff Siarto.
